I first began training with Tim Hill two years ago, prior to spending a season in Switzerland training to be a ski instructor. Tim designed a specific plan in order to build up my core strength, agility and balance. This included exercises that could be done in the gym and at home. He also introduced me to pilates and the importance of body posture in everyday activities. I was also taught the importance of stretching after exercise in order to maintain healthy flexible muscles and prevent injury.

As a result I maintained very good health and fitness throughout my three months in the Alps, skiing every day. Unfortunately I did get hit (while stationary) by an uncontrolled skier and sustained a shoulder injury. This was quite stiff on my return home. Tim enabled me to rehabilitate this injury with graded strength exercise, and with muscle massage and stretching. Within a few months this injury had completely resolved.

Over the past year, Tim has continued to assist me in maintaining good muscular fitness, with sports massage and graded exercises. He has been able to help me resolve back and neck pains with sports massage and with advice regarding posture and body management at work.

Tim is the most friendly, approachable person and a great encourager. He is tremendously enthusiastic and has always given every effort to support me in achieving my goals. I passed the BASI Instructor Level 2 course in March 2008, and at the age of 50, was delighted to be able to out-ski the 20 year olds!
